After such a success story in creating the perfect kitchen space for our client, they returned with a desire to have the perfect bathroom sanctuary in their home. So we were tasked with the challenge to make this happen. They wanted dark tones along with wood features to make this the perfect room to start and end their days, every day.

The one thing we wanted to do is paint the ceiling and all the woodwork in a very dark charcoal finish to bring the whole room together, so it was important we got the lighting perfect to compliment the whole atmosphere of the room. This added with wood effect basin unit, dark stone porcelain tiles on the walls and floor, together with porcelain wood inside the shower recesses, created everything that the client desired for their dream bathroom.

We decided to go with chrome fixtures and fittings to help engage the room and give the light from the window and special lighting something to help bounce off. This worked beautifully against the dark tones of the room. We cannot forget the dark charcoal paint on all the woodwork and the ceiling. The client really had to trust us on this part and be brave, but with this and the clever lighting in the room, it just made for the perfect finish to the perfect sanctuary bathroom.

THE PROCESS

“Out of 4 designers, Gary was the only one to achieve my dream bathroom”

The stunning wood effect basin unit added a touch of class and elegance to the room and set the perfect accent against the dark matt stone porcelain tiles.

The beautiful Italian push button shower controls made the shower experience so sleek, giving you the option to choose between the two showerheads and the option of rainfall or power sprays. The sleek seamless wetroom tray with the stone textured surface was designed to sit flush in the floor making for an amazing walk-in showering experience. Making sure there was no step into the shower area was a very important aspect of the design so it flowed correctly and helping with the illusion of even more space in the bathroom.

The false wall that was built at the end of the room had to be used efficiently. This may of made the room smaller in size but with the clever elements of a recessed mirror cabinet and the shower recesses for all the shampoo’s and shower gel’s, this just made the bathroom even more practical as well as aesthetically pleasing.
